Take a trip in the "Northwoods Voyageur " canoe, which is a 34 canoe very much like the ones used by the Lewis & Clark Expedition and the mountain men of the 1800s fur trade. This big canoe is capable of carrying 16 people, two of which are guides. It is available for groups of 8 or more up to 14 people. All trips in the "Northwood Voyageur" are fully outfitted and guided trips. We do not rent this canoe for "do it yourself" trips. All multi-day trips in the Voyageur are priced at $155.00 per person per day unless otherwise listed. Single day trips will be calculated based on trip origin and destination points. VOYAGEUR Description and Data The Voyageur is a 34' Fur Trade Replica Canoe manufactured of
fiberglass by Northwoods Canoe Company. It has a total length of 34' 1" and
a gunwale outside width of 64". Depth at the center of the canoe is
22". This canoe is rated "EXCELLENT" for stability, speed,
maneuverability and sea worthiness. It has a dry weight of 520 lbs and a load capacity of 6000 lbs with a
10" freeboard. It is an excellent choice for family vacations and getaways or any large group outdoor recreation or camping trips, including Youth Groups, Elderhostel's, Boy Scouts, Historic Re-enactments, Handicapped, Family Reunions, Class Reunions, and Wilderness & Nature Tours.
