Marias River Trips

The "Marias River"

Canoe trips are also available for the Marias River. The Marias has some very beautiful sights as well as being quite remote. There are many bottoms with an abundance of trees and many different types of wildlife. This is the river, which gave Lewis & Clark their biggest question of the entire trip. Was this the Missouri? After traveling up the Marias some 80 miles Lewis still was not sure it wasn’t the Missouri. The Marias will give you a view of majestic hills where Buffalo were in herds of "thousands". There are spots along the Marias that you can still see the "Buffalo Jumps" where the Indians ran huge herds over the cliffs, for a large kill.

You can float Fully Guided with all necessary camping gear or just Outfitted, where we furnish everything except a guide and personal items. Shuttle service is also included. These trips on the Marias River will last from 4 days and 3 nights, or 3 days and 2 nights. Listed below are the trips available.

Meissner Bridge to Loma

You will camp two nights where you will hear the call of the coyote, and the quiet that only being in such a remote place can provide. You will see more stars than you knew existed. This is a 3 day 2 night trip.

$245.00 per person for an Outfitted Trip (No Guide)

Tiber Dam to Loma
